I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker committed to promoting overall health & wellness. I believe it is important to understand the human heart & mind and the desires & goals that one has for oneself and one’s future. I understand! We all have had times when we feel sad, uncertain, depressed, anxious, fearful, lonely, irritable, stressed, & scared. It helps when we have someone who can listen; someone who cares enough to help us along our journey to healing, happiness, & peace. I welcome the opportunity to take this journey with you. My work focuses on trauma-informed therapy, behavioral issues, stress reduction techniques, and life coaching – just to name a few. Susan Candelaria, is a board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with a passion for helping individuals with mental health issues. She believes that a therapeutic partnership with her patients is key in treating the “whole” patient. She specifically has a passion for depression and anxiety disorders.
Susan’s professional background includes 16 years of acute care nursing experience in various areas of healthcare. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Nevada State College in 2005. She then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from The University of Nevada at Las Vegas in 2010.
Most recently, in 2020, she obtained a Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric – Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in psychiatric-mental health nursing.

I am a board-certified family nurse practitioner, an APRN committed to helping those affected with mild to moderate mental health issues: helping them learn how to improve their lives and build healthier relationships, overcome challenges, etc.
My work focuses on determining what their concerns are, working with the clinical social workers in elucidating a formal diagnosis and treating this(ese) with medications to help attenuate the symptoms. I believe in using a shared approach to helping my patients reach their goals.
I’m passionate about patient care: integrity, honesty, compassion, kindness overall and providing any needed resources for these people struggling with various conditions. I am in another post master’s program, psych mental health and a doctoral of nursing program to further my education. Additionally, I am also interested in actively participating in other outside workshops, speaking engagements, webinars, and podcasts which are evidenced and research based. I consider my “job” rather a “joy”.
I'm a Psychosocial Rehabilitator committed to helping at-risk youth populations learn how to self-regulate so that they can overcome childhood challenges and achieve their full potential. My work focuses on using evidence-based practices to help target tangible problematic behaviors and find alternative, healthy behaviors that can serve the same function.
I believe in taking a collaborative approach with the team of therapists and other experts in the field who share the same drive and passion for enhancing the overall health of our clients.
I am passionate about creating resources for school-aged underprivileged children with defiance disorders and am interested in creating school-based programs that are aimed at enhancing mental health within the classroom.
